Attending live music in Japan - Never Ending Homies
One of my goals during this trip was to catch one of my favorite bands, Fox Capture Plan.
The problem - purchasing tickets in Japan requires both a Japanese phone number and payment method associated with a Japanese bank. I wasn’t able to find any way around this, so used a proxy service (literally, PayPal’d a guy) to purchase the tickets.

Tickets acquired!
Once actually in Japan, the pickup process was simple. Go to a Lawson’s, type in the confirmation number into one of the ubiquitous Loopi machines, and hand the resulting slip of paper to the clerk. Then they’ll print out the actual tickets for you and have you sign a paper indicating they were picked up.
Fox Capture Plan was first up for something called “Never Ending Homies”. I’m not sure either - but it meant our ticket got us performances from toe and Nabowa, two other bands I’m a fan of. Based off the crowd reaction, toe was definitely the headliner of the group.

Sneaky concert photo
The craziest thing about the whole concert? No phones. There were no explicit signs, the audience for the most part just…watched the show.
